Yes! We will do our best to source all the flowers in your original bouquet and preserve them for you! The cost to source the flowers will add to the cost of the final total.
A detailed shipping guide will be sent to you after deposit is made. All in person drop-offs will be arranged after deposit is made.
Overnighting your flowers are key to keeping them fresh and in their current state, without further aging. We suggest USPS for the most cost friendly option, as overnighting can cost $50-$200 depending on where you're located.
Here at Oleander Nook, we use three methods to dry your flowers, depending on the product purchased. We use the natural methods of pressing or hang drying or we use silica sand to preserve the blooms. Our pressing method uses heavy books and presses to flatten petals and greenery, then reconstruct to closely mimic your live florals!
It is a lot of work! Deconstructing, pressing, changing out paper, placing in silica sand, storing, reconstructing, designing, gluing, color correcting, framing, setting in resin, more layers of resin, etc! All of the ins and outs are intricate, time consuming, and have taken years of technique and practice to achieve. Don't chance your special flowers molding or browning on first attempts, let us take care of you and your flowers!
Currently it is 3-6 months for each order from the moment we receive your flowers. Depending on how quickly our clients approve design, this process usually takes 1-3 weeks once design is started. The quicker you respond to our emails, the quicker your piece can be framed or set in resin and back to your home!
Great question! Each process has "favorite" types of flowers that do better. There are hundreds of flowers varying in shapes, sizes, and color. Ther are always "firsts" when it comes to some flowers, which is exciting! We have many preservation techniques but can't ensure every flower can be used.
